Area Worship Groups Under Our Care

Several small worship groups are under the care of Madison Meeting (MMM).  MMM tries to keep in touch with and visit these meetings to support them. 

Clyde Friends Worship Group – Contact Gretchen Spicer; 608-532-6365, gretchenspicer@gmail.com to confirm the schedule and location.

Dubuque Friends Worship Group – Meets Sundays, 10:00 am at St. Marks Community Center (Oct – May), 1201 Locust St, Dubuque, IA 52001 and New Hope Farm (June-Sept). For more information, call 563-213-1755 or contact Mary Moody, mmgrowing@gmail.com.

North Central Friends Worship Group – Meets twice monthly in the Wausau-Merrill area, 715-301-3133, Kathy Konle-Barth, kkonle@gmail.com.

Sand Ridge Friends Worship Group – Meets First and third Sundays at 9 am at 3981 County Rd JJ, Black Earth, WI  53515-9727. 608-767-2885, Brian Evans and Agnes Kanikula, Conveners, quaker@sandridg.net

Watershed Worship Group (formerly Beloit Friends Meeting, Beloit, WI): 608-868-2834. Gathers via Zoom (and rarely in person) every Sunday at 11:00 am. Zoom invitations are usually sent the preceding Saturday afternoon. Winnebago Friends Worship Group (Neenah, Appleton, Ripon): First, third and fifth Sundays at 10am by Zoom (worship and fellowship), Second and fourth Sundays at 10am (worship, discussion, and potluck) in person. Contact Kat Griffith & Soren Hauge, 920-748-3923, katgriffith@hotmail.com.

According to the structure of our Northern Yearly Meeting and of Madison Friends Meeting, as is typical with Quaker meetings in general, persons wishing to ‘join’ or become ‘members’ of the local meeting or worship group under the care of Madison, apply through our Care Committee and are approved by our Meeting.  However, the local meeting is also involved in the process the entire time.
