Anti-Racism Update: Special Edition
AR QUIZ
- Robin Lowney Lankton is laying down her role as curator of the Anti-Racism Update. We greatly appreciate the love and care with which she has done this work. Who will be the next curator of this biweekly update?
AR QUIZ ANSWER
- Maybe you! There is no reason someone needs to be part of the Peace, Social and Earth Concerns Committee if you feel led to take on this piece. And you will get ideas from the Committee, in addition to information you gather elsewhere. Bonus: there is also the potential to shape the update in new ways. We will, of course, provide initial training and support. If you’re interested, or just want to talk about this, let Shel know: shelgross3@gmail.com
ACTION
- Help Remove Barriers to Housing in Madison. Housing justice is racial justice. The Community Development Authority (CDA) is accepting feedback on details of their Admission and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP). Bridget Rogers, a Social Worker with Joining Forces for Families, and collaborator with MOSES, has recommended that we respond to her requests for updating some of CDA’s more egregious restrictions in their ACOP.
Please refer to the sample statements here, prepare your own statement, and send it by email by June 11th to: CDAPublicComments@cityofmadison.com
EDUCATION

Meet via Zoom with others from Northern Yearly Meeting to consider: Patterns of Racial Wounding and Racial Justice in Quaker Communities by Lauren Brownlee and Zenaida Peterson.
